Position: Start Up Superintendent
Work Location: Perth, WA

Description:
As Start Up Superintendant you are responsible for the establishment of the Onshore Start up execution plan that is fully integrated and optimised for the whole of the Ichthys assets with an associated schedule for preparation and execution in the projects pre-Operations phase.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring all start up operation activities and priorities are consistent with operation of the entire Ichthys Operation (including Upstream and Downstream assets).
• Identifying key technical risk areas relevant to an LNG production plant startup.
• Co-ordinating resources and timing requirements for engineering and operations as well as vendors and contractors.
• Developing and promotion of a positive safety culture by active participation in the implementation and validation of work and safety procedures for start up.
• Lead input into project design, construction and commissioning teams to implement schedule adherence and improvement initiatives that minimise lost time during startup
• Ensuring that key risks associated with the start up operation including HSE, Technical and Business risks are identified and ensure associated mitigating actions are identified and managed.

Key qualifications, skills and experience required:

• Tertiary/Diploma or Technical Qualifications in a relevant discipline (i.e Mechanical/Electrical/Process/Instrumentation)
• Extensive experience in the LNG/ Oil&Gas Industry with substantial experience at senior technical/operations level.
• Experience in planning and successfully executing startup operations of major plants.
• Strong interpersonal skills in influencing and teamwork.

Prior to startup, you will use your experience to provide technical and operational input during Detailed Design, Construction and Commissioning. In addition, you will be part of the development of key operations systems and processes. This may require you to be deployed to international design offices and construction yards or to assist operations readiness activities within the Perth office.
