
ausAID Requires Assistant Director General for across Australia

Australian aid has helped our neighbours and countries further abroad to develop, and our aid program continues to grow. For example, Australian aid has wiped out polio from the Pacific. Australian aid has seen more than 1.5 million children immunized against measles and polio in Papua New Guinea.
We helped build the first bridge across the Mekong River in East Asia, boosting economic opportunities for millions of people living in the region. And our water supply and sanitation programs are providing clean water for nearly 500,000 people in Tanzania, South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
Position: Assistant Director General (SES Band 1)
Work Location: Any, across Australia
Duties
As Assistant Director General, SES Band 1 leading one of AusAID’s branches you will be responsible for driving and delivering outcomes across a range of corporate, policy and program management areas. You will provide strategic leadership and direction within a Branch, including the provision of high quality advice to the Minister and AusAID’s Executive. As part of Australia’s foreign affairs and trade community, you will also foster partnerships with key stakeholders and may represent the Government at a range of forums. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will develop and build high performing teams committed to AusAID’s mission. Eligibility / Other Requirements
Applicants must be Australian Citizens. This is a security designated position and you will either have, or be able to obtain a Negative Vetting 2 security clearance.
