Position: Maintenance and Technical Manager - Engineering
Work Location: Louisville, KY

The Company:
Our client, an international leader of plastic products for the packaging industry, is seeking an experienced Maintenance & Technical Manager for its facility located near Louisville, KY. Relocation assistance may be provided.

The Opportunity:
The Maintenance & Technical Manager will serve as the technical expert in the identification, development, and implementation of engineering programs targeted at eliminating wastes associated with Lean manufacturing.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Operate as a liaison between the Operations and the Technical Service groups to lead efforts to prioritize projects which assure the most effective return on assets employed
  • Lead efforts to leverage successful projects throughout the production area as well as sharing these best practices
  • Provide technical expertise in the justification, drafting, submission, and management of capital projects
  • Perform complex engineering duties such as the planning of manufacturing processes, and the installation, operation, and maintenance of new equipment.
  • Prepare complex mechanical engineering studies, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Serve as key expert in the selection and design of all process and facility related equipment

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Stable, highly skilled maintenance experience in a high-speed, manufacturing environment
