Position Summary:
Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. is world leader in Memory and LCD technologies. We are currently looking for a Manager, Product Planning and Technical Marketing in San Jose, CA. The candidate will create global demand for Samsung's Solid State Drive (SSD) business by identifying business opportunities and providing memory technology solutions to new and existing customers.

Common Essential Duties & Resp:

• Enable Samsung's global SSD business by providing technical leadership and support for all Samsung SSD product solutions to our silicon/chipset partners, software/firmware partners, and customers.
• Visit and interact directly with silicon/chipset partners, and indirectly with the customers, to understand their product roadmaps and create a Samsung strategy to meet their needs and ensure Samsung technology leadership.
• Visit and interact with Operating System partners to understand their product roadmaps and create a Samsung strategy to meet their needs and ensure Samsung technology leadership.
• Support all design-in opportunities by providing the best solutions for the customer, including technology, specific memory type, and cost competitiveness. Lead project management qualification activities in order to secure maximum number of design-wins.
• Develop and maintain close relationships with the technical community and the key decision makers to drive the standardization of memory interface, specification and packaging at JEDEC and other associations.
• Track and report project details, to enable successful project completion.
-Train and direct the field sales resources on Samsung's SSD product roadmap and portfolio, key focus products, and how to target SSD design-wins to enable sales.
• Create various tools, such as application notes and presentations material, to be used by Sales and others to facilitate design activity and increase Samsung's global SSD business.
• Represent Samsung's SSD business at tradeshows, press events, and other activities.
• Maintain competitive analyses on our SSD roadmap, process technology, and business model.

Background / Experience:

• Bachelors degree in EE or equivalent required.
• 3 + years in semiconductor industry especially experience in memory products, memory controller/processors and applications, and technical marketing is required.
• 5+ years experience with SSD or Flash Memory preferred.

Necessary Skills / Attributes:

• Should be comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment and display the ability and the willingness to meet business-critical deadlines.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Good detail-orientation, organizational skills and ability to multiple task.
• Strong customer service skills.
