Job Summary:
As the Compensation & Benefits (C&B) Manager, you will be the functional lead position in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia for the C&B function, based in Singapore office and act as a key liaison to regional. The role will be hands on dealing with SAP HR operations work whilst being able to assist in local strategy development for the subregion within a global framework.

You will be accountable for ensuring the compensation programs to enhance Nielsen’s ability to recruit and retain people. Working closely with the HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and key managers, you will seek to understand business goals with the impacts, issues and requirements for all compensation initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Ensure Nielsen’s global compensation programs and local benefit programs are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations
  • Recommend compensation plan revisions as well as new plans which are cost effective and consistent with compensation trends and company objectivesDrive the annual salary and incentive review processes (including development of salary and bonus review guidelines, data management, necessary local and off-shore approvals)
  • Develop tailored market surveying strategies as required and co-ordinate periodic market benchmarking exercises
  • Maintain the salary and banding framework and the job evaluation process for any new roles
  • Review salary increase proposals and submit to Regional as appropriate for approval
  • Ensure maintenance of rigorous review and improvement processes for sales and non-sales incentive programs ensuring stakeholder requirements are fully met
  • Provide business specific C&B tactics to support attraction and retention initiatives
  • Develop and manage business specific recognition programs leveraging the Global Reward & Recognition tools
  • Ensure active monitoring and interpretation of key metrics: incentive and recognition spend, turnover etc
  • Ensure integration of Nielsen C&B offering into the overall EVP for the Business
  • Manage the C&B policies, practices and processes to assist in attraction and retention of employees
  • Responsible for evaluating benefits programs in partnership with HRBPs and supporting the annual benefit renewal process
  • Ensure relevant management reporting is provided accurately and within deadlines
  • Provide and interpret human resources data to provide management information on turnover, headcount, compensation information, organizational statistics, etc.
  • Responsible for the coordination of the annual workforce planning process including the development of annual operational plans
  • Other key functions will involve regional expatriate arrangements, short-term assignments, driving HRIS and C&B systems and initiatives, championing the recognition program 'Simply Excellent' and providing general provision of C&B advice to the business

Typical Position Pre-requisites:
  • Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline with ideally 7-10 years experience working within a specialist remuneration and benefits position
  • Solid working knowledge of C&B program design and implementation within a multinational business
  • Have strong conceptual and data analysis skills with experience working with HR systems whilst holding high level Excel skills
  • The ability to work both strategically and operationally within the functional role
  • Should be self-directed and capable of handling large, concurrent projects with minimal supervision
  • Experience working with SAP
