Position: Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Work Location: Central Singapore

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare estimate, call quotation/tender including preparation of drawings, specifications, etc. Assist in tender evaluations & recommendations /contract drawings, documents and estimates from consultants.
  • Familiar with GEBiz, procurement procedures and guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Processing progress claims, payments & variation orders.
  • Assist in contract administration and management.
  • Assist in developing yearly expense budgets including processing and reviewing operating expenditures.
  • Assist in generating ad hoc reports and data extracts as requested.
  • Assist in the fixed asset system whenever needed.
  • General coordination of department activities, work requests, scheduling and follow-up of outstanding issues including working with user.
  • Assist in general administrative duties, cover duties of another colleague and other ad hoc projects as assigned.
  • Assist in general facility / building management & maintenance

Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Engineering with business/ Civil Engineering with business/ Hotel & Leisure Facilities Management / Integrated Facility Management or its equivalent with minimum 1-2 years relevant working experience in construction
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision & well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Able to scrutinize drawing and identify discrepancies
  • Competent with MS Office applications including Access and experience with GEBiz would be advantageous
