Position: Financial Analyst - Wealth Management
Work Location: Kuala Lumpur
Responsibilities:
- Prepare management information, industry/ business performance, benchmarking information, asset and liability papers, risk reports, cost analytics, regulation and statistical returns to external parties on a timely basis complete with analysis of the financial performance reported.
- Assist to manage the bank’s management information systems, ensuring that the integrity of financial data is maintained and that such data are available to key users on a timely basis to support decision making. Prepare and review appropriate information in order to support users in the efficient management of the bank’s balance sheet.
- Assist to consolidate the Bank’s budget and analyses the bank’s budget by building relevant trends, key performance indicators and ratios.
- Implement new regulatory requirements as required by the Central Bank. Coordinate with business managers to obtain information required by the Central Bank. Assist business to maximize the bank’s profitability within the guidelines and regulations.
- Assist in the development of new group systems or regulatory reporting systems and maintenance development of the existing finance systems.
- Perform financial feasibility study of initiative.
- Evaluate investment base on payback to business.
- Alignment to the overall business strategies.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the business related data flows & structures in order to provide effective management information & information solutions.
- Trusted advisor via deliver value through regular analyses & forecasts, building processes & supporting projects.
- Fast, flexible & effective solutions to adhoc business needs will be an additional challenge.
- P&L analysts – Expected own end to end cost & gross margin analysis for the product line by SBUs products.
Requirements:
- Candidate must posses at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Finance / Accountancy or Banking.
- At least 3-4 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Kuala Lumpur.
- Good financial/ operational systems knowledge.
- Practical/ process experience for problem diagnosis & variance analysis.
- Experience in financial tax/ legal reporting & transfer pricing.
- Must be self-starter, with drive for results.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Access is preferred.
