
Baker Hughes Needs Geomechanics Consultant for Central Java & Jakarta

Position: Geomechanics Consultant
Work Location: Central Java, Jakarta
RDS serves the oil & gas industry in developing reservoir-driven solutions covering the full asset life cycle, from the earliest phases of project development through abandonment. Our global teams in Aberdeen, London, Delft, Dubai, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Perth, Calgary, Buenos Aires, and Houston work diligently to find and maximize reserves; increase production rates and recovery factors; select, define, execute field development plans and analyze acquisition and divestiture options.
Baker Hughes Subsurface Integrity & Evaluation (SIE) is a newly formed commercial consulting group performing geosciences, geomechanics (GMI) and real-time advice for the Oil & Gas Industry, using proprietary software. Our SIE group is quickly expanding its global operations and is now seeking talented and motivated professionals to join our dynamic organization.
Responsibilities:
- Leads geomechanical project work including, stress constraint, wellbore stability analysis, fracture permeability, fault seal analysis, sand production prediction, and pore pressure prediction.
- Performs all other standard consulting services, including pore pressure, wellbore stability analysis, image & caliper log analysis, stress constraint, fracture permeability, fault seal analysis, sand production and other related activities.
- Prepares presentations, technical documents and other items of project delivery
- Assists with external training courses.
- Mentors Geomechanics Associates and Specialists. May visit customers for data collation, interim meetings, or project presentations
- May lead small project teams or manage simple projects.
- Handles special projects, as assigned.
Skill Requirements:
- Excellent problem solving skills with a drive for results.
- Must be action oriented, ethical in value, and have a strong client focus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Must be able to work both independently and as part of multi-disciplined teams working with an extensive client base.
- Demonstrates proficiency and depth of knowledge in geomechanical model-building, wellbore stability analysis, sand prediction numerical rock modeling and several other GMI consulting services
- Must be highly motivated with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Able to advise clients and internal team of all standard consulting services.
- Demonstrates leadership, teaching, communication and management abilities.
Education & Experience:
You will be educated to either BSc, Masters or PhD level and must have experience in Geomechanics, Geology, Rock Mechanics or similar background. BSc and Masters level you must have a strong level of work experience for this role as it not an entry-level position.
