Position: Senior Component Applications Engineer
Work Location: Bayan Lepas

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Component Applications Engineer, you will provide applications support for Altera devices focus on high speed I/O technologies. You will work with customers, field specialists, design and engineering teams to bring customer issues to closure as efficient as possible. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Resolve component and tools issues related to gigabit transceiver
  • Work with design and engineering teams to drive improvement in customer supports
  • Create technical documents such as device handbooks, application notes and reference designs
  • Perform checkout for new transceiver equipped Altera devices
  • Developing gigabit transceiver training modules as needed for Field Application Engineers (FAEs) and Regional Support Center Application Engineers (RSC AEs)

Requirements:
  • BEng/MEng in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Fundamentals in signal integrity, transmission line theory, power distribution analysis
  • Fundamentals in HSpice IO modeling and simulation
  • Experience with implementing and troubleshooting high speed protocols such as PCIe, GigE, XAUI, CPRI and SATA is an added advantage
  • Experience in Verilog or VHDL coding, and hardware/board debug
  • Analytical and strong verbal and written communications skills
