Position: Financial Analyst, Senior
Work Location: Bayan Lepas

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Research and Development organization business owner and controller to manage expenses and provide forecast updates to enable them to make good business decisions and drive company performance and measure performance of business decisions implemented.
  • Provide ad hoc support on spending related matters to business owners (i.e. ad hoc analysis and reports).
  • On a yearly basis, build an executable spending plan to achieve business owner objectives as well as meet spending targets as set by executive management.
  • Perform month end close activities (i.e. journal entries, balance sheet entries etc.) and provide reports to finance management and business owners to enable them to better manage their expenses.
  • Provide detailed support for ELC, SOX, statutory audit, tax filing, etc.
  • Work closely with Research and Development organization, Finance and IT colleagues to improve budgeting accuracy and eliminate non value added activities.
  • Work in unison with other spending analysts in helping new business users to be familiar in using BPC.

Requirements:
  • BA/BA in Accounting, Business, Finance, or equivalent with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience of financial planning and analysis.
  • Strong accounting background.
  • Business operations orientated with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to anticipate, identify and resolve complex financial issues.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and strive for excellence in work produced.
  • Advanced working knowledge in Excel (Hands-on and detailed oriented).
  • Pro-efficient in SAP Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC) and SAP/Oracle.
  • Pro-efficient in other Microsoft applications.
