Position: System Administrator - Web Services
Work Location: Kuala Lumpur - TPM, Bukit Jalil
Responsibilities:
- Ability to understand the client's technical requirements and implement a solution to meet those requirements.
- Ability to create detailed documentation of the associated solutions built around Web Services CA SiteMinder and SUN/Oracle One Directory existing infrastructure. Must also express a trong understanding of Networking, Security and Enterprise Managemet
- Working knowledge of Web Services (Middleware) - CA SiteMinder Version 12, IBM Web Server, SUN One WebServer, IBM WebSphere, Windows 2003, Apache Web Server and SUSE SELS 11. Must also familiar with disaster recovery procedures
- Ability to install, deploy and troubleshoot new CA SiteMinder environment, Web Server, IBM Web Server, Oracle Application server production environments per AIGGS's standard practices. Must be able to work with all Open System Engineering Groups to identify any proactive tasks such as sizing exercise of the memory, storage and kernel parameter tuning DNS, Networking/Internet Firewall issues
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- 3 -5 years relevant working experience with two or more of the following product:
- IBM WebSphere Application Server
- IBM WebSphere MQ
- Apache TOMCAT
- JBOSS
- Oracle Weblogic
- Working knowledge on Novell IDM or CA Siteminder will be an added advantage
- Relevant working experience with application implementation services running on the following platforms: SUN Solaris, Micosoft Windows & SuSE Linux
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision
- Able to perform under pressure
- Adherence to pre-defined processes and procedures
- Provides real-time troubleshooting, fixing and escalation of Web server problems. Coordinate with various parties or vendors to resolve Web server issues
- Constantly look into enhancements to improve Web services reliability
- Carry out real time updates of status and activities into the Incident & Change ticketing system
- Suggest and implement improvements to operation and service delivery
