Position: Business Analyst - Global Operations and Engineering
Work Location: Foster City, CA

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Global Operations and Engineering (GOE) Business Analyst is recognized as a support role to Engineering's financial and performance assessments. This is an individual contributor role responsible for communicating clearly and effectively with colleagues, internal customers, and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Support Purchasing Lifecycle Process
  • Prepare and submit Purchase Requisitions; ensure Purchase Requisitions are properly submitted, approved, and Invoices are received within forecasted month
  • Document financial anomalies and significant changes
  • Analyze, track, and report financial transactions
  • Coordinate completion of SIRA (Supplier Initiative Risk Assessment)
  • Collaborate with Cost Center Managers, Finance, Accounts Payables, Accounting, and Sourcing to identify and implement process improvements and decrease risk of financial variances
  • Coordinate with Managers and Engineers during Vendor negotiations
  • Assist development of Business Cases
  • Coordinate cross-departmental discussions; improve Financial Management

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex processes to Management team such as Finance and Engineering
  • Strong understanding of Accounts Payables, Procurement, and Finance workflows
  • Experience in working with IT Vendors and Contract Negotiations preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • ITIL v3 and Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Business professional writing skills with the ability to communicate financial information with business-focused staff
  • Ability to guide and define process for all users
  • Experience working effectively in Team environments
