Position: Exterior Trim Design Engineer
Work Location: Farmington Hills, MI

Job Description:
Development of Exterior Trim Components such as body side moldings. Cowl covers, O/S mirrors, plastic finishers for new passenger cars and trucks for global markets.

Qualifications:

1. BSME.
2. Minimum of 1 year (including internship) of automotive experience at a supplier or OEM.
3. International travel and early/late working hours as business needs dictate.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and develop exterior trim parts from concept to production, ensuring all performance, quality, timing, and cost requirements are met.

Skills and Requirements:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering - Required
• Capable to set and meet performance and quality targets, including vehicle and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct CAD studies, communicate engineering requirements to the related departments and suppliers, release drawings, and confirm quality assurance.
• Investigate and resolve field quality and manufacturing concerns.
• Knowledge of CAD (NX Cad preferred)
