Position Description:
In this internship, the incumbent will provide assistance with general marketing, account team planning and operations for Verizon Wireless. The Intern will conduct market research, market sending, product research, technical marketing support and assist in marketing and promotional program and strategy development. The Intern will also be asked to conduct product presentations and other duties as assigned in support of the sale of Samsung Wireless handsets through one of our largest authorized carriers.

• Analyze marketing investment opportunities
• Speed processing of marketing program submissions
• Track sell thru and lift of promotions
• Mine brand study data for improved positioning planning
• Facilitate national sales and marketing promotion processes
• Perform marketing operations and analysis
• Provide sales support through collateral and inventory management
• Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects

Background / Experience:

• Bachelors degree with focus on Marketing, Communications, Business, Economics, Engineering
• Prior experience requiring detailed analysis, data mining, market intelligence within the wireless industry is ideal
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities as well as strong presentation skills
• Must have demonstrable experience in developing presentations using a variety of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Highly organized/detail oriented
• Project management capabilities
• Creative and out-of-the box thinking
