Position: Supervisor - Refinery
Work Location: WA Regional

Solutions and Outcomes:
A career opportunity has arisen within our Refinery area for a Production Supervisor to lead, coordinate and mentor.

In this role your will have active involvement in ensuring the operating team activities are aligned with Minara's overall business objectives.

Some of the expected outcomes are:
  1. Efficient utilization of team members through duty assignment and delegation
  2. Maintain, foster and improve safety behavior of crews
  3. Ensuring all Key Performance Indicators are communicated to the operating teams
  4. Maximize plant utilization

You will also be accountable for the coordination of shift production and maintenance requirements to ensure maximum efficiency and equipment utilization, reporting on the production, environmental and workplace health and safety incidents and managing them accordingly. You will also have active involvement in meeting and exceeding productivity objectives.

To succeed in this role you will need to demonstrate:
  • Experience in a senior supervisory role in a hydrometallurgical plant or refinery
  • Strong understanding of production and maintenance strategies for a large scale, continuous operating mineral processing plant
  • Effective leadership skills with previous improvement outcomes on production and team behavior
  • Strong interpersonal, time management and communication skills
  • Sound analytical skills and business acumen
  • Thorough hands-on understanding of mechanical and chemical processes
  • Experience with shift/roster planning

Your ability to engage other operating disciplines to foster a "team" based working relationship is also essential. Naturally demonstrated understanding of and hands on experience with Workplace Heath, Safety and Environmental procedures, policies and management systems is one of the key criteria for this role. Sound understanding of emergency response, clearance to work procedures and gas monitoring equipment is a definite advantage.

This role is on a 2:2 roster, FIFO from Perth.
