Position: Training Coordinator

Position Summary:
Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. is world wide leader in Memory, System LSI, and Display technologies. We are currently searching for a highly talented and motivated person to join our Human Resources Team as a Training Coordinator in our San Jose, Ca. location. This individual will be very instrumental in flexing his/ her skill sets as needed to support a growing Employee Development team.

Common Essential Duties & Resp:

Training & Organizational Development (OD) Coordination:
  • Create and maintain training calendars, course catalogs and descriptions
  • Maintain training email box and respond to employee requests and questions
  • Coordinate all classroom workshops/courses and webinars: reserve rooms and necessary equipment, prepare materials for upcoming classes, prepare announcements, announce courses; send reminders, manage registration of employees into scheduled courses, follow-up post-course, and prepare training certificates for course/ program completion.
  • Track training hours and attendance; provide quarterly updates and complete analysis
  • Manage vendor relationships, supporting them with classroom coordination, communication, and on-sight support
  • Support all e-learning programs
  • Assist with coordinating company-wide events and quarterly meetings
  • Support OD Manager as needed with other various projects, including Global Mobility coordination

MyCoach (Learning Management System or LMS) Power User:
  • Become expert in new MyCoach, new LMS; train other team members and employees
  • Complete updates to MyCoach, posting and/or removing relevant training content

Clerical Duties:
  • Work with accounting/purchasing to submit and process budget approvals, payment and invoicing requests, purchase requisitions, etc. for employee development team
  • Order training supplies and logoed items

Background / Experience:
  • 3+ years of prior Human Resources coordination experience in either Training, On- boarding, or Events required. Prior experience with learning management systems, e-learning programs, or international coordination is a plus.
  • Bachelors Degree Required.
  • PHR preferred
  • Prior high tech experience preferred

Necessary Skills / Attributes:
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow compliance laws and regulations
  • Intermediate to Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent planning, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Team and customer oriented
