Description:
Provide project management for launching a major model vehicle in the Paint Shop from program kick off to start of production. This includes both body and fascia paint systems. Formulate full manufacturing plan including capital budget, labor, and bulk material and project introductory costs. Provide full scope project management for the entire project. Participate in engineering feasibility studies, capacity studies, cost savings proposals, and development of annual capital equipment budgets. Develop equipment specifications, scope of work for paint, sealer, auxiliary equipment and facility modifications. Interact with purchasing and suppliers along with production and maintenance personal to acquire the best commodity for the application. Generate status reports to track project management progress and control, documenting project results for management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Familiar with all aspects of the automotive paint process including pretreat, e-coat, sealing, and top coat application; both primary and secondary processing equipment.
• Experience with processes related to painting plastic parts a plus.
• Demonstrated problem solving and project management skills relating to Body and Fascia Paint systems.
• Experience: Five to ten years of related Paint experience.
• Education: Related technical degree from a four year accredited college or university.
• Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate on several different levels.
• Computer skills: Strong knowledge of Windows software packages including PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Experience with AutoCAD version 9 and above is preferred.
