Job description:
Ventana Medical seeks innovative Recruiting Manager to lead a team of 5 in delivering talent to support Ventana's pursuit to improve the lives of all patients afflicted with cancer. The preferred candidate brings demonstrated success in leading a corporate internal recruiting function, a keen eye for refining processes, creativity in candidate generation, and a strong understanding of best practices associated with compliance (OFCCP, FDA, etc).
This position supports the acquisition of talent by assisting in the development and implementation of the staffing strategy for Ventana. Ensures that staffing needs are met in a timely fashion and in accordance with governmental requirements. Manages the staffing team to achieve the goals set forth and in conjunction with the strategy. Works closely with the VP, Human Resources to ensure goals are reached and to ensure a robust executive recruiting process.
Essential Functions:
- Develops and administers staffing strategy to ensure timely staffing and strong candidate base.
- Develop and maintain a robust college and executive recruiting function.
- Develops and implements recruiting plans to staff open requisitions.
- Develops and administers employee referral programs.
- Develop and review all appropriate recruiting processes.
- Manages contractual relationships with placement agencies, contract recruiters; retained and contingent, job boards, job fairs and various internet job search websites for posting requisitions and surfacing candidates.
- Manages the resume tracking system.
- In conjunction with Roche, develops the Corporate employment brand and ensures consistent corporate image throughout recruiting campaigns.
- In conjunction with others such as Finance, develop manpower planning system.
- Provide support to management and HR generalists on employment matters.
- Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree, Masters preferred
- 6 years related experience in a series of progressive positions, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Demonstrated Recruiting Management experience preferred
- Must have experience in creating Recruiting strategies and in implementing recruiting plans
- Must be able to demonstrate flexibility and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Must be able to build rapport and establish credibility with a variety of business leaders and the HR team
- Solid understanding of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
- Must be a self-starter with high energy, capable of functioning in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
- Ability to apply analytical and critical thinking around the recruitment process
- Must possess strong interpersonal, communication and listening skills
- Demonstrated experience as a progressive leader with excellent problem solving skills.
