
OCBC Bank Requires Cost Accountant for Singapore

Position: Cost Accountant
Work Location: Singapore
Responsibilities:
The new hire should possess strong analytical skills to be able to contribute effectively amongst the various duties in this role:
- Prepare periodic variance analysis report on Operations unit costing.
- Work with the department coordinators and Finance team to substantiate variances between actual, budgeted and standard unit costs.
- Provide support to product costing review with Business Units.
- Perform impact analysis by applying scenario tools to assess potential improvements to unit costing and suggest Green Belt projects for areas with constant unfavorable variance.
- Understand and explore ways for improvement of cost allocation.
- Provide required MIS support during OP exercise, or ad-hoc to the 9 processing centres as required.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects and assignments relating to unit costing/ financials.
Requirements:
- A good university degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
- Working experience and knowledge in Activity Based Costing/ Management, financial analysis and/or analytical roles in the financial industry will be an advantage.
- Good Analytical and problem solving skills.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team
