Position: Behavior Interventionist
Work Location: Dover, DE
Description:
New Behavioral Network located in Delaware is looking for qualified Behavioral Interventionists who can facilitate children and their families to develop community based support to promote healthy functioning.
Some Responsibilities include the following:
- Review treatment plans via phone or in person with therapist or other behavioral staff as needed.
- Communicate with Client’s therapist as needed in regards to client’s compliance and progress.
- Provide direct care services according to prescribed treatment plan prepared by client's therapists, counselors and other treatment staff in collaboration with the client and their family.
- Utilize listening skills in all client contacts.
- Maintain detailed and accurate program records.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and to be able to efficiently communicate with the client, their family and other therapeutic disciplines.
- Able to multi-task and meet given deadlines.
- Maintain a positive attitude toward the client, family and other members of the treatment team.
Requirements:
- Associates degree in Social Services or related field is preferred.
- One year of experience in managing and dealing with emotionally disturbed adolescents and children.
- The ability to communicate adequately, including the ability to utilize and complete forms for patient care.
- The ability to hear and to speak English fluently.
- A valid driver’s license and a registered, insured motor vehicle
- Acceptable background check as stated by company policy.
