Position: Field Service Technician/Engineer - Grinding
Work Location: Sydney

Based in Sydney, and reporting to the MPR Field Service Manager, this role is responsible for the installation, commissioning and maintenance of grinding mills, bulk & Pyro equipment and all other Metso processing equipment. In addition, you will implement projects as well as maintenance and reliability engineering plans.

Some of the duties you will perform include, but are not limited to:

• Installing, commissioning, retrofitting and maintaining grinding mills
• Collaborating with customer maintenance and production to ensure maintenance contract commitments are implemented and on schedule
• Training and informing customers on the maintenance and service of Metso products
• Investigating complaints regarding quality, tolerances, specifications and delivery conditions of products
• Identifying and communicating sales opportunities for machines, services, spares and wears with account managers and regional managers
• Delivering technical services presentations to key clients in coordination with sales personnel
• Monitoring the performance of competitor products in the field
• Performing equipment audits onsite for customers, and communicating refurbishment needs

Ideally, you will possess formal Mechanical Engineering qualifications and/or a Mechanical Trade qualification with approximately 5 years' experience. You will have a current motor vehicle license, good verbal and written communication skills, along with experience from one or several of the following industries: Grinding, mineral processing and mining. You will also require the ability to develop rapport and lasting customer relationships.

Applicants must be able to pass random medical and drug tests, travel within short notice (often to remote sites) and be able to work away from home up to 90% of the time, for extended periods and extended hours, on weekends or as required.
