MEASAT is a premium supplier of satellite communication services to leading international broadcasters, DTH platforms and telecom operators. The MEASAT fleet includes the state of art MEASAT-3/3a satellites at 91.5°E which support Asia’s premium DTH and video distribution neighbourhood. The MEASAT fleet will be further strengthened over the next two years with the addition of AFRICASAT-1a at 46°E in Q4 2012 and MEASAT-3b at 91.5°E in Q4 2013.

Leveraging facilities at the MEASAT Teleport and Broadcast Centre, and working with a select group of world-class partners, MEASAT also provides a complete range of broadcast and telecommunications solutions. Services include 3D, high definition and standard definition video playout, video turnaround, co-location, uplinking, broadband and IP termination services.

Position: Spectrum Management Engineer
Work Location: Selangor

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will manage and coordinate MEASAT ITU filings in accordance with the framework of ITU Radio Regulations to ensure valid, best possible operating conditions and with acceptable adjacent satellite interference for the operation of MEASAT satellites.

He/she will also identify interests/concerns and formulate relevant proposals in addressing these interests/concerns in national, regional and international conferences and meetings to safeguard usage of MEASAT spectrum and orbital slots.

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Electrical/Electronic/Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent
• Fresh graduates with less than 1 year of experience are encouraged to apply
• Basic telecommunication and programming knowledge
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications; competency in Microsoft Access will be highly regarded
• Able to speak and write well in English
• Able to articulate thoughts in a clear and professional manner
• Able to identify and resolve problems effectively
• Malaysian citizens only
