Position Description:

• Mid-level software testing position suitable for candidates with one to five years of experience
• Use technical and problem-solving skills to support software testing projects of small to large scope under the close direction of senior engineering staff members
• Responsible for verifying that software products function as expected, are robust and meet a variety of company standards
• Quickly learn test methodologies and gain product knowledge both independently and with the guidance of teammates; a “self-motivated” mindset is absolutely required
• Create, execute, and maintain test strategies and test cases for a number of different products using a variety of testing techniques; report defects and participate in troubleshooting activities
• Participate in troubleshooting and debugging activities that may require off-hours support
• Fully engage in reviews and walkthroughs of new features and bug fixes; interact with teammates and other departments in a consistently professional manner to achieve team and personal goals
• Clearly communicate challenges and successes to peers and managers; consistently provide exceptional and professional service to Fiserv clients

Qualifications:

• Cleverness and a strong affinity for creative thinking are absolutely required
• Impeccable written and verbal skills; understanding of professional communication norms
• Excellent analysis, problem-solving, follow-through, and time management skills; ability to work gracefully under pressure is required
• Experience or education in at least one of these areas: software testing, game testing or development, open source project testing or development, .NET Framework 1.x/2.0/3.x, ASP.NET development or testing, database administration, or software design
• Exposure to financial services software a plus but not absolutely required
• Some experience with scripting in PowerShell, Ruby, Windows scripting or another scripted language would be beneficial.
• Experience with MS Word and MS Excel (or similar equivalents)
• Understanding of relational database (SQL) basics and fundamentals
• Basic understanding of internet and networking technologies. Keen interest in new internet technologies.
• Strong affinity for team work and interest in working closely with peers and managers to accomplish goals, approachable, adaptable and collaborative nature

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least one year of relevant experience; two or more preferred.
