Position: Financial Analyst
Work Location: San Antonio, TX

Our client is a military organization dedicated to both laboratory and clinical trauma research. The mission is to provide medical solutions and products for injured soldiers returning from the war zone.

Responsibilities:
  • Participates in the development of reporting requirements for the preparation, collection, justification, and submission of programming and budgetary data
  • Reviews, analyzes, edits, and consolidates program/budget submissions for assigned activities
  • Assures budgets are coordinated, realistic, and support long-range planning
  • Assists to ensure sufficient internal control mechanisms are installed to protect government and Soldier assets.
  • Assists in other budget functions, such as account managing, track obligations and commitments against any type of funds.
  • Assists in Budget formulation to include fund acquisition distributions.

Requirements:
  • Possess a BA or BS degree with an emphasis in Finance or Statistics
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in statistical methods, regression analysis, and/or operation research programming techniques
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience using and incorporating Cost Benefit Analysis techniques
  • Skills and familiarity utilizing all Microsoft Office 2007 applications with extensive knowledge of EXCEL applications.
  • Familiarity with government finance applications, including GFEBS, STANFINS, DARS, and DTS
  • Ability to multitask and problem solve
  • Prior government experience
  • PREFERRED certified Defense Financial Manager
