Description:
Boeing Aerostructures Australia is Australia’s leading designer and manufacturer of composite flight control Components for commercial aircraft. We are renowned for our collaborative and supportive working environment and for the incredibly high calibre of our people. We are currently looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer Lead to join our team.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensuring that you and your teams work practices adhere to customer, regulatory and BAA procedural requirements and to ensure the conformity of our products and processes
- Leading and managing the ME’s within (Composites) to deliver ME support and functions within the FB Operations
- Providing technical expertise to lead the ME team to:
- Integrate new manufacturing solutions/ processes from M& PT & BR&TA
- Liaise with suppliers with SM to resolve quality related issues / queries
- Development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies
- Delivery of producibility and variation analysis
- Developing the strategy for the ME processes, content and procedures and leading the subsequent implementation
- Support the delivery of all ME services in accordance with QIP plans.
- Support achievement of QCDSM plans
- Ensuring FB Operations has adequate and competent ME resources available to satisfy BAA FB and customer requirements
- Planning and conducting reviews, special investigations and audits of manufacturing process; interprets data to create action plans that resolve a wide range of issues
- Responsible for Leading the FPQ/PPV Implementation process
- Interfacing with company representatives, develops project plans, leads teams, negotiates additional resources, and communicates solutions needed to satisfy business unit, company, and external requirements
- Assisting with leading, developing and mentoring of the ME skill set
- Responsibility for building and maintaining a capable team and ensuring the availability of a skilled, knowledgeable and capable team by planning and coordinating ongoing training and development activities
- Ensures effective performance and skill development is achieved by reviewing performance, establishing development plans and providing coaching and counselling as required
Classification Level:
This is a Non Award Position Grade 6 and remuneration will be commensurate with skills and experience. The successful candidate will be required to complete a 3 month probationary period.
