Position: Project Manager
Work Location: Melbourne, VIC
Responsibilities:
- The Project Manager is a customer facing role who leads and directs the activities necessary to successfully complete Project implementations.
- As the customers advocate within Tektronix, the Project Manager maintains total Project responsibility for each assigned customer.
- Responsibilities include planning, organization, resource management, task allocation, and complete Project execution to ensure timely and compliant completion of all deliverables.
- The Project Manager provides the primary focal point for all customer contact during the customer's life cycle (implementation, warranty, maintenance, and follow-on expansion activities.
- Reviews product compliance against customers contract requirements and related specifications.
- Coordinates and responds to customer requests while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.
- Develops, plans, and schedules each Project implementation, manages assigned and required resources and coordinating all aspects of Project implementation such as configuration, production, integration, warranty, and maintenance activities to accomplish the Project on schedule and in accordance with the contract requirements and budget constraints.
- Conducts meetings with the customers and other Tektronix organizations as required, including the internal kick-off meeting, customer kick-off meeting, and quarterly meetings with the major customers.
- Prepares the minutes and action items as well as provides timely responses to the outstanding issues.
- Directs resources in implementing the Project requirements.
- Controls and monitors Project expenditures.
- Negotiates contract requirements and Service Level Agreements.
Requirements:
- Comfortable and experienced speaking in front of groups, senior leaders and managers.
- Minimum of ten years related experience in system engineering and Project Management with proven supervisory responsibilities in managing personnel, and large implementation Projects with Major High Valued Customers.
- Certified in at least one industry recognized project management discipline.
- Experience in delivering complex hardware and software application solutions in a Telecommunications environment is essential.
- Requires computer literacy and familiarity with Windows operating systems and experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and MS Project.
- Strong communication (oral & written) and organizational skills.
- Candidate must take initiative and be able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Candidate must be able to work with little supervision.
