Rio Tinto Coal Australia (RTCA) is one of Australia's leading mining organisations with a highly successful record in developing and managing world-class open cut and underground coal operations. As part of the way we work, we seek to build enduring relationships with all of our communities that are characterised by mutual respect, active partnership and long term commitment. RTCA produces approx 50 Mt per annum of export and domestic coal from various mine sites across QLD & NSW. RTCA operates three open cut and one underground operation in central Queensland and three open cut coal mines in the Hunter Valley of NSW.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Specialist - Purchase to Pay - Inventory & Warehouse to join the RTCA Commercial Services team. This role can be based in Brisbane, Mackay or the Hunter Valley. This role reports to the Superintendent - Purchase to Pay. We are seeking a self-motivated, high energy, enthusiastic professional to contribute to RTCA's success through the delivery and implementation of best practise warehousing and distribution management.

You will ensure that the warehouse operations have the required level of understanding and execution of supply chain management, warehousing, and mining requirements. As there is an increasing reliance on warehouses to improve security of supply and support growth, you will assist the sites in continuing to meet operational production targets by ensuring standardised warehousing practises are achieved. Strong communication, relationship building and influencing skills are key requirements. You will have corporate oversight of the warehouse functions across RTCA's operating sites. You will project strong credibility through your track record of operational warehousing and distribution success in a challenging environment.

• Demonstrated commitment to safety
• Operational or management experience in a warehousing and distribution environment preferably in a mining or similar capital intensive industry
• Demonstrated achievements in providing tailored warehousing solutions
• Commitment to excellent customer service
• Ability to develop and apply policies, procedures and standards for managing warehousing and distribution functions preferably within an SAP environment
• Examples of continuous improvement in your areas of accountability
• A degree qualification or certification in an industry-recognised discipline would be desirable.

A current driver's license and flexibility for frequent travel to sites is a requirement of this role.
