Position: Manager - Pricing
Work Location: Selangor

Responsibilities:

• Own, lead and manage the pricing function (located in KL) in an entrepreneurial manner
• Delivery of prices to downstream systems and processes within agreed timelines and quality parameters
• Effective control to proactively identify & resolve exceptions through supervision, validation, systemic checks, KPIs, key quality indicators (KQIs)
• Create and maintain effective relationship with internal business units and external clients - review of services, quality, identify opportunities for improvement; plan and execute changes for improvement
• Responsible for a team of 15 members (including supervisors) - performance management, training, coaching and development
• Motivate and lead the team from the front; hands on approach to manage operations; to identify and resolve risks
• Lead / participate in strategic initiatives / projects for new client integration, automation of processes
• Partner with global managers / teams; create & maintain a global pricing organization through standardization and institutionalization of best practices and technology teams
• Compliance with internal policies, audit, risk management, legal and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Commerce or equivalent.
• At least 10 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably Managers specializing in Finance - Corporate Finance/Investment/Merchant Banking or equivalent. Job role in Funds Management/Investment or equivalent.
• 1 Full-Time positions available.
• Post graduation in management / finance / securities market related subjects
• Good and sound understanding of securities, custody business and funds industry
• Direct experience of managing similar pricing functions in similar organisations will be preferred
• Knowledge of pricing related data feeds / vendors will be a great advantage
• Knowledge of EXCEL, database concepts will be beneficial
• About 6-8 years of managerial experience in similar roles (securities, fund administration, custody, investment banking)
• Strong ability to work under tight timelines
• Ability to 'zoom in' and 'zoom out' to resolve issues
• Should be a 'change leader'; strong ownership and high energy
• Proven leadership skills
• Shift hours: Starting at 5.30 am / 6.30 am (the pricing function has client deliverables on Saturdays; should be willing to work on Saturdays)
