Position: Area Manager II

Job Description:
Parsons Brinckerhoff, a leader in transportation engineering for 125 years is seeking an Area Manager II for the Charlotte, NC office. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with excellent technical, managerial and business development abilities.

The successful candidate will:
Collaborate and support the efforts inside and outside of the operations; effectively manage the local office; provide oversight of civil/highways, planning/environment, traffic and structures departments; and lead major business development efforts in Charlotte, NC.

Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate must have excellent communications and technical skills and have a minimum of 15 years of transportation experience with at least 5 years of managerial experience. The successful candidate must have at least a BA/BS degree (and professional registration is preferred) along with relevant experience in transportation consulting or experience with a municipality or DOT. The ideal candidate must possess great leadership characteristics with the ability to lead and grow the office as well as the ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships. Active in the community as well as proven sales experience is desired. The ability to work in this country immediately is required for this position.
