Position: Assistant Vice President, Finance (Group & Consolidation)
Work Location: North

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President in Group Finance, you will lead and work closely with the Business finance teams to ensure the integrity and timeliness of management and statutory financial reports of MediaCorp and its subsidiaries. You will also provide guidance to the implementation of Group financial policies and corporate governance as well as supporting the Group Services in its financial reporting requirements.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
  1. Manage the management reporting process for MediaCorp group, including preparation of periodic reports & presentations to various stakeholders (management, parent company, shareholders, ARC, BOD and regulatory bodies)
  2. Manage the year end statutory audit for the Group including liaison with external auditors and resolution of audit and accounting issues
  3. Manage the implementation of new accounting policies and harmonization and alignment of accounting policies within the Group including overseas investments
  4. Completion of assigned finance projects

Requirements:
  • Possess a degree/professional qualification in Accounting or relevant fields
  • Possess a CPA qualification
  • Minimum 8 years’ relevant working experience, with at least 3 years audit experience in a ‘Big 4’ audit firm
  • Possess sound knowledge of monthly and year-end closing and reporting processes
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of SAP FICO advantageous
  • Good communication skills and excellent technical abilities
  • Mature team player with proven leadership skills
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Analytical mind and an eye for detail
  • Good team player and self-motivated
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced business environment
