IPAR provides Occupational and Vocational Rehabilitation and Injury Management Consulting services to representatives of the NSW Workcover,Comcare, numerous self insurers and to companies directly. IPAR services a large geographical area through our national office locations. Our suite of services in rehabilitation, injury management, training and risk management ensures our consultants gain experience in a variety of settings.

IPAR creates a fun and supportive work environment with a large focus on facilitating Personal Development Plans, Mentoring and Supervision. Initially IPAR provides a thorough Induction Program with the opportunity to attend assessments and meetings with experienced consultants. Ongoing support is provided on a regular basis beyond this Induction period in line with individual needs.

Position: Senior Psychologist or Rehab Counsellor – Occupational Rehabilitation
Work Location: Newcastle, Maitland & Hunter

The role:
Due to growth in our Newcastle branch we are looking for a Consultant with tertiary qualifications in Psychology/Behavioral Science or rehabilitation counseling to join and lead our Vocational services team to deliver outstanding RTW results. You will also assist clients who have sustained a workplace injury, you will be responsible for utilising your skills and background to assess client needs, and develop and implement strategies to enable your clients to return to work as part of their rehabilitation.

In order to be successful in your application for this role, you must possess one of the following:

  • Provisional or Full registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency);
  • Eligibility for Associate or Full membership with ASORC (Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors).

And

  • Have 2-3 years experience providing job seeking services in a workers compensation environment
  • demonstrate great team work and have a passion to lead people and drive business growth
  • have excellent written and verbal communication skills
