Due to rapid company growth there is currently opportunity for experienced Surface Drillers to work on their Queensland sites. The role offers you an exceptional work life balance with an FIFO roster of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off.

Position: Drillers
Work Location: Mackay, Australia

Responsibilities:

• Setting up of drill sites, drill rig and ancillary equipment as per the site plans
• Control hole deviation/direction
• Secure and maintain hole collar
• Decommission a hole
• Diagnose equipment faults
• Complete daily drilling reports correctly and forward to head office if required
• Liaise with supervisor/client on any issues with the drill hole
• Administrative work such as filling plod sheets, incident reports, pre-starts are all completed legibly and filed in a timely manner and to an auditable standard
• Provide supervision to drill crew including task organisation, on the job training, mentoring and opportunities for development (i.e. give trainee drillers and drillers assistants an opportunity to drill under direction/supervision

Requirements:

• Experience in RC & Diamond Drilling
• Cert III in Mineral Exploration
• HR Drivers Licence
• Exceptional Communication skills
• Team Orientated
• First Aid Certification
• Coal Board Medical with chest x-ray
