Position: IP Attorney
Work Location: Duluth, Georgia

Job Description:
Cadillac Jack, Inc. is seeking a self-sufficient Intellectual Property Attorney, who will report directly to the Vice President of Legal. This Attorney will be responsible for prosecuting domestic and international trademarks, managing a growing patent portfolio, drafting and negotiating IP related agreements, developing IP processes and strategies, managing litigation and assisting with general corporate legal matters. Minimum of 3-5 years of IP experience and top law firm training required.

Primary Objectives:
The duties of this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Prosecute domestic and international trademarks and manage extensive trademark portfolio
  • Oversee patent application preparation and prosecution, including through the cultivation and management of outside counsel.
  • Advise on, research and analyze IP legal issues, including best practices and strategies for managing legal risks in order to avoid litigation.
  • Manage IP litigation and dispute resolution.
  • Negotiate IP license agreements, services agreements, development agreements, sales agreements, distribution agreements, professional services agreements, nondisclosure agreements and other technology agreements.
  • Assist with general corporate legal matters, including board matters, transactional due diligence, contract management, drafting and negotiating various agreements, and drafting and reviewing policies.
  • Support various business units with technology and commercial contract needs.

Skills/Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with domestic and international trademark work, including prosecution, maintenance, licensing and overseeing trademark related litigation.
  • Top law firm training and credentials.
  • Strong commercial contracts experience, including reviewing, revising, drafting, negotiating and advising on sophisticated and complex contracts, such as services agreements, development agreements, sales agreements, distribution agreements, professional services agreements, nondisclosure agreements and other technology agreements.
  • Experience providing advice to business clients and senior legal counsel.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment with frequently shifting priorities.
  • Law degree from a top-tier accredited U.S. law school.
  • Membership in the state bar of Georgia.
